Today's word is Citizen.  We're taught we must grow up to be good, productive citizens.  Everyone.  What does it mean to be a citizen?
 
Citizen is from Cite (city) + the suffix -ian.  Varients of -ian include -an and -en, and in Latin is it -anus.  This means of or pertaining to.
 
A citizen is someone who is of the city.  Their origin and order or way of life originates there.  They pertain to the city.  This can also be spelled Citian.
 
-en -an -ian -anus indicate what some(thing)(one) is OF.

James, above, illuminates the meaning of the First Commandment:  Thou shalt have no other gods (magistrates) before me.  Adulterers pertain to other orderly arrangements (other "gods")
 
You no doubt recognize familiar religious terms:  Christian, Rastafarian, Unitarian, etc.

Citizen / Citian:
One who pertains to the City (state; orderly arrangement), that is, adheres to it's ways/doctrines.  It is to be OF the City as opposed to being OF the country.  A Citian is a devotee.  An honored Citian has normally demonstrated their faithful devotion to the City in some way.
